Brightfield Scope ("Brightfield Scope," "we," "our," or "us") is a film review and coaching platform designed for coaches, players, and parents. This Privacy Policy explains how Brightfield Studios LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Brightfield Scope application and website.

We take privacy seriously, especially because our platform may involve youth athletes.

a. Account Information

When users create an account, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Role (coach, player, parent, staff)
• Team association
• Mobile phone number (if voluntarily provided for SMS notifications)
• SMS consent status, consent timestamp, and consent source (for compliance audit trail)

b. Player & Parent Information

For player profiles, coaches may add:

• Player name
• Jersey number
• Position and grade
• Parent or guardian contact information (email, phone number)

Parent contact details are used only for sharing clips and coaching feedback related to their own child.

c. Content & Usage Data

• Uploaded or linked videos
• Clips created from videos
• Coaching notes and tags
• Player assignments to clips
• Sharing activity (who clips are shared with and when)

d. Technical Information

• Browser type
• Device type
• IP address
• Log and usage events

We use collected information to:

• Provide and operate the Brightfield Scope platform
• Enable coaches to review film and share feedback
• Deliver clips to the correct players and parents
• Send notifications related to account activity
• Improve product features and usability
• Maintain security and prevent misuse

Brightfield Scope enforces strict access rules:

• Only team members can view team content
• Players and parents can only see clips assigned to them
• Parents cannot view clips belonging to other children
• Staff access is limited to the teams they are invited to

Content is shared only as explicitly initiated by a coach.

Brightfield Scope is designed for use by adults (coaches and parents). Players under 13 do not create independent accounts without parental involvement.

Parent or guardian contact information is collected solely to support coaching communication and clip sharing. We comply with applicable youth privacy laws and best practices.

We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the service or as required by law. Coaches may remove players or delete content at any time.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access your information
• Request corrections
• Request deletion of your account or data

Types of SMS messages we may send:

• Account activity and security alerts
• Team invitation notifications
• Clip sharing notifications (when a coach shares film with you)
• Film upload processing status updates
• Other operational notifications related to your account

Opt-In: SMS consent is collected explicitly via an unchecked checkbox during account creation or in Settings → Notifications. Enrollment is never implied or automatic.

Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to immediately unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages. You may also disable SMS in Settings → Notifications at any time.

Message frequency varies based on team activity. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.

Data Retention: Phone numbers and consent records (opt-in timestamp, consent source) are retained for compliance and audit purposes even after opt-out. Messaging logs are retained for a reasonable period to support compliance inquiries.
