Terms of Service

By accessing or using Brightfield Scope (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Brightfield Scope is owned and operated by Brightfield Studios LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

Brightfield Scope is a film review and coaching platform that allows coaches, players, parents, and staff to upload or link video, create clips, tag moments, and share feedback for player development.

The Service is intended for coaching, training, and educational purposes only.

• Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Players under 18 must be added or managed by a coach or parent.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information.

Brightfield Scope supports different user roles (coach, player, parent, staff). Access is restricted as follows:

• Coaches control team content and sharing
• Players and parents may only view clips assigned to them
• Parents may only view content related to their own child
• Staff access is limited to teams they are explicitly invited to

You agree not to attempt to access content you are not authorized to view.

a. Your Content

• You retain ownership of any videos, clips, notes, or other content you upload or create.
• By using the Service, you grant Brightfield Studios LLC a non-exclusive, limited license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the platform.

b. Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining permission to upload or share video
• Ensuring content complies with applicable laws
• Ensuring youth participants have appropriate consent

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, abusive, or harmful content
• Violate privacy rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Service
• Share access credentials
• Use the Service for non-coaching or commercial exploitation without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

Brightfield Scope may support third-party video sources (e.g., YouTube). We are not responsible for:

• Availability or accuracy of third-party services
• Changes in third-party APIs
• Content hosted outside our platform

Certain features (such as AI analysis) may not be available for third-party hosted videos.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information. By using the Service, you consent to those practices.

Types of messages you may receive:

• Account activity and security alerts
• Team invitation and membership notifications
• Shared film clip and coaching feedback notifications
• Video upload and processing status updates
• Other operational notifications related to your account

Message frequency varies depending on team activity and account usage. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.

Opt-In: SMS consent is collected explicitly via an unchecked checkbox during account creation or in Settings → Notifications. You are never enrolled automatically.

Opt-Out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by disabling SMS in Settings → Notifications.

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without liability.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Service will meet all expectations.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your use poses risk to other users or the platform

Upon termination, access to content may be removed.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties regarding:

• Accuracy of coaching outcomes
• Performance improvements
• Availability or error-free operation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brightfield Studios LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Brightfield Studios LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
